ElderCare+ Privacy Policy

ElderCare+ is provided at no cost and is intended for use as is. This page informs visitors of our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of Personal Information if anyone decides to use our Service. If you choose to use our Service, then you agree to the collection and use of information in relation to this policy. The Personal Information that we collect is used for providing and improving the Service. We will not use or share your information with anyone except as described in this Privacy Policy.

1. Accountability

We will be responsible for all personal data collected through ElderCare+ mobile application. All personal data will be used and processed fairly and lawfully while in our possession or custody. We ensure all our customers that we would be accountable for ourorganisation's compliance with our Privacy Policy.

2. Data Collection and Purpose

We collect only the necessary personal data required for business purposes. Both the amount and the type of data collected shall be limited to that which is necessary to fulfill the purposes identified. We collect only the personal data necessary to provide our elder care services. The amount and type of data are limited to what is required to fulfill the purposes identified. This may include, but is not limited to:
  • Resident Information: Name, age, health conditions, medication schedules, allergies, and daily care notes.
  • User Information(Guardian/Staff): Name, email address, relationship to the resident, contact information etc.
  • App Usage Data: User preferences and interactions with the app to improve our services.

Personal data collected will not be used for a new purpose unless we obtain consent from our customers. We are the controller of the personally identifiable information collected through this Service. We collect personally identifiable information for the sole purpose of registering a user for our web site.

3. Log Data

We want to inform you that whenever you use our Service, in a case of an error in the app we collect data and information (through third-party products) on your phone called Log Data. This Log Data may include information such as your device name, operating system version, the configuration of the app when utilizing our Service, the time and date of your use of the Service, and other statistics.

By using the Eldercare+ app, users consent to the collection and processing of their data for the purposes stated in this policy. We may collect sensitive personal information, such as health data, which is essential for providing care services. We will only collect and process this sensitive information with your explicit consent or as necessary to protect the vital interests of a resident. All personal information will only be used or disclosed for the purposes for which it was collected.

5. Limiting Use, Disclosure, and Retention

We will not disclose, share, transfer, sell or rent personally identifiable information to any third party.We will only share information with your explicit consent for care-related purposes (e.g., with healthcare providers) or when required by law. We do not send unsolicited marketing email to our customers. Customers will occasionally receive email on special promotions we hold. Out of respect for the privacy of our users, users may opt-out of receiving these communications by replying to unsubscribe in the subject line in the email. We do not keep personal data for longer than is necessary for those purposes for which they are collected. We do not use “cookies”, “web-bugs” or any other tracking technologies to collect extra and non-related information from users of our web site.

6. Accuracy and Access

We ensure that all personal information collected is accurate and kept up to date. If our customers are required to maintain an account with us for any reason, we will allow our customers the right to access, update and maintain their personal information. Customers can access their personal information by using any available means of communication that our company offers at the point of time. If your personally identifiable information changes, or if you no longer desire our service, you may correct, update or remove your personal data at the member information page or by emailing our Customer Support. We will respond to our customer'srequest within a reasonable time and we do not charge any fee for providing the information or data requested for. We do not maintain duplicate copies of personal information in different systems.

7. Account Deletion

If you wish to delete your ElderCare+ account, you may do so directly through the app or by contacting our support team at  eldercareplus.org@gmail.com. Please note that account deletion is irreversible and will result in the permanent removal of your personal data from our servers.

8. Safeguards and Data Security

Appropriate security safeguards are in place to protect personal data against unauthorized access, misuse, disclosure, copying, alteration, accidental loss or theft, destruction, or damage. Only authorized personnel have access to our systems. Access to personal data is restricted to authorized personnel on a need-to-know basis. Any consultants or contractors who may require access are bound by strict confidentiality agreements. ElderCare+ employs advanced security measures to ensure user data is protected.

9. Openness

Our data protection policy (Privacy Policy) is displayed on the mobile app and the policy is set out in the same language medium as the mobile app. We encourage all users to read our Privacy Policy to understand our objective of collecting their personal data.

10. Challenging Compliance

Our mechanisms and processes are in place to receive and address complaints or inquiries about our policies and procedures relating to the handling of personal data. Appropriate measures taken to amend policies and procedures if a complaint is found to be justified.
